Variegated leaf is much thicker than genuine gold or silver leaf, and can be gently handled with dry and oil-free hands. Variegated leaf is available in loose leaves that are 5-1/2” square and are packaged in books of 25 leaves or packs of 500 leaves.
Imitation gold leaf will slowly tarnish, and should be sealed to prevent oxidation. The sealer that we offer is NOT compatible with variegated leaf color 2, nor is off-the-shelf shellac or polyurethane which will also wash out some of the color highlights. We are actively working on identifying a sealer that will not affect the color of this leaf.
