This Double Sided polished Stainless Steel Gilders Knife is ideal for cutting gold or other metal leaf. When used properly in conjunction with a Gilders Pad/Cushion, the gold leaf will not be torn and can be easily cut to any size or shape for your gilding project.

The wooden handle is and is securely attached by rivets to the polished stainless steel blade. The overall length of the knife is 9.8 inches. The blade is 5.5 inches long and 0.7 inches wide.

Before use, the blade should be cleaned with rubbing alcohol to degrease it. Avoid touching or handling the blade to keep it free of oils that will cause leaf to stick to it.
