Instacoll Activator HA is used to reactivate the dry and tackless surface of Instacoll Base HA size. With Instacoll HA, the base needs to dry 24-48 hours before the Activator can be applied.
Instacoll Activator HA is used to moisten an Kolner Tissue, or a lint free cotton cloth, and then wiped across the surface of dry Instacoll Base HA size, leaving a thin film which will quickly dry. The prepared gilding surface can then be gilded again for about one hour.
