The Kölner Handheld Gilders Pad/Cushion is made with high quality suede that will not tear, scratch or damage your gold or metal leaf. It is ideal for cutting gold or other metal leaf in an environment without air currents.
Loose leaf gold is placed on the gilders cushion, where it can be gently cut with a gilder’s knife, then moved to the gilding surface using a gilders tip. The pad has a thumb strap on the back allowing you to easily control the pad while cutting the gold leaf. The cushion also features a knife holder on the back. There is no wind shield.
The pad is approximately 6" x 10". Made in Germany
